The head of the Hamburg regional command, Captain 1st Rank Kurt Leonards, called for increased preparations for a possible war with Russia.
This was reported by Bild with reference to Leonards’ interview with the Hamburger Morgenpost newspaper.
According to Leonards, 50% of the tanks, planes and missiles Russia produces are now going to war against Ukraine, while the remaining 50% are being stockpiled for a possible attack in four to five years on the Baltic states, Poland or Moldova.
Everything now depends on whether NATO can build a credible deterrence scenario, Leonards notes.
Let us recall that German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius recently stated that Russia has completely switched to a military economy and provides the army with 1 to 1.5 thousand tanks annually.
