Syrian rebels entered the city of Hama.

The Syrian army, alongside Russian troops, announced that rebels had entered Hama after intense fighting and said it would redeploy outside the city “to save civilian lives and prevent fighting in the cities.”
The rebels said they had occupied areas in the northeast of the city and captured the central prison, releasing detainees.
Last week, militants entered the main northern city of Aleppo.
Opposition groups to the Assad regime include forces supported by Turkey, as well as the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, recognized in the United States and other countries of the world. The Assad regime is supported by Iran, Russia and the Lebanese radical group Hezbollah, designated terrorist by the United States.
Bashar al-Assad is ready to consider severing ties with Iran, reports the Arabic newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat.
Informed sources in Washington said that Syrian President Assad is more ready than ever to consider initiatives to sever ties with Iran. The sources also hinted at a possible preliminary agreement that could lead to a political process between the Assad regime and Turkey, with Russia’s efforts playing a key role in the process.
