Support for Ukraine is one of Norway’s priorities, assured Colonel Kjell Hauan, a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Norway.
First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Gavrilyuk, held negotiations with the delegation of the Kingdom of Norway, discussing the situation at the front, the needs of the Ukrainian air defense and prospects for cooperation in the production of weapons. The Norwegian side assured additional support. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense on Thursday, December 5.
Gavrilyuk named the critical needs of the Ukrainian defense forces. He also informed about the increasing support for the Russian Federation from the DPRK. It is not just about new supplies of ammunition and missiles. But also about the increase in the number of North Korean military personnel near the borders of Ukraine.
“The enemy is constantly changing the tactics of terrorism in Ukraine. A difficult winter season is ahead, which the aggressor will use to plunge our country into darkness and cold with the existing systems.

Participants in the Norwegian delegation assured further active assistance within the framework of Ability Coalitions. The parties agreed on steps to intensify cooperation in the production of certain types of weapons.
The First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine also focused on the need to focus efforts on solving the problem of providing newly formed units of armored vehicles.
