Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga left the OSCE plenary meeting hall before Russian Minister Lavrov began speaking.
Before this, at the end of his speech, Sibiga called him a war criminal, the Foreign Ministry reported.
Following the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, a number of foreign ministers and diplomats, for example from Poland and the Czech Republic, left the hall.
This is Lavrov’s first trip to the European Union since the invasion began. According to media reports, he will miss the dinner where the war in Ukraine will be discussed.
Ahead of the summit, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Lavrov would hold a number of bilateral meetings in Malta, without specifying with whom exactly. But the Russian Foreign Ministry canceled Zakharova’s Maltese visa.
