The head of state expressed gratitude to all the volunteers who “supported our systematic work for the sake of Ukraine.”
On International Volunteer Day, President Vladimir Zelensky congratulated volunteers on the holiday, noting that they have become the backbone of the country, uniting different Ukrainians with a common goal. He noted this in his video message on Thursday, December 5.
“The people who united different Ukrainians with a common goal and themselves became the support of Ukraine. Our volunteers. Thousands of caring people made the whole of Ukraine caring. More the millions of volunteers sent by the community to help the army and the state. They will find something that is impossible to get, they will take what is needed and often offer the best,” said the head of state.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to all the volunteers who “gave support for our systematic work for the benefit of Ukraine.”
We remind you that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Alexander Syrsky, met with representatives of the public: volunteers Igor Lachenkov and Sergei Sternenko, the founder of the Dignitas charitable foundation Lyubov Shipovich and human rights activist and co-founder of the NGO Principle Lyubov Galan.
