Ukraine must make difficult decisions about further mobilization – Blinken

Ukraine must accept difficult decisions to continue mobilization.

    .

These mobilization measures are necessary to counter Russian aggression. And the allies must make sure that the mobilized Ukrainians have good military training and are equipped with everything necessary to participate in hostilities. The corresponding statement was made by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at a briefing in Brussels following a two-day meeting of the foreign ministers of NATO member countries, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Ukraine must make difficult decisions about further mobilization, but they are necessary decisions. We’re trying to make sure they have the training and equipment they need,” he said.

Blinken believes that the decision on further mobilization will be critical because “even with money, even with ammunition, there must be people at the front to resist Russian aggression.”

The Washington representative also added that the United States has obligations – “every person that Ukraine mobilizes must undergo training and receive the equipment necessary to effectively defend the country.”

Let us recall that on November 19, US Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that the Ukrainian authorities should strengthen the conscription of military personnel in order to improve the situation at the front. He emphasized that it was recruits, and not the number of Western weapons, that could change the course of the war.
