The EU is working on a new package of sanctions against Russia and the release of funds from the European Peace Fund.
The European Union must fulfill its promises to provide military aid to Ukraine. This is what the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, said on Tuesday, December 3, Radio Liberty reports.
He noted the importance of fulfilling the commitments that the EU makes to Ukraine.
“They had very specific requests, as always, and also frustration that everything that wasn’t really got through to them. So we really need to work on all of those promises to actually deliver on them,” she said.
Kallas also said that the EU is working on a new package of sanctions against Russia and the release of funds from the European Peace Fund.
“This fund is used to compensate EU member states for weapons transferred to Ukraine However, due to Hungary’s veto, 6.5 billion euros remain blocked,” he explained.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas suggests the possibility of sending foreign troops to help Ukraine.
In order to establish peace on the territory of Ukraine, Kyiv must receive real security guarantees. This is what German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock said.
