In many cases, North Korean troops were integrated into Russian military units.
The US Department of Defense does not yet have information about the active participation of the North Korean military in battles against Ukrainian forces, however, North Korean soldiers have been integrated into Russian units. Pentagon Press Secretary Patrick Ryder announced this in a briefing on Monday, December 2.
“Until now, we have not seen North Korean soldiers actively participating in offensive combat operations on the front line. Although we expect it will likely happen at some point in time,” the general said.
Ryder noted that in many cases the North Korean military has been integrated with Russian units and that the Pentagon is “aware of reports of North Korean soldiers killed as a result of Ukrainian strikes on Russian targets.”
At the same time, he added that the exact number of North Korean military deaths is currently unknown.
We remind you that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that many North Korean soldiers will be sent to the front line in the future. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will use them as “cannon fodder.”
