Those who apply for “Winter support” abroad will return it later
There may be a minimal number of people who will abuse this. But we will audit these things after that, and such people, as has happened in previous times, will return the funds,” Prime Minister Denis Shmigal noted in a conversation with Interfax-Ukraine.
He noted that first people declaratively note that they are in the country, and then they are checked using registries, geolocation and other software methods.
Shmigal also reported on December 2 that more than 3 million applications have already been submitted for assistance in the amount of 1,000 UAH under the “Winter Support” program. Of these, 676 thousand are to receive cash payments for children.
The proceeds can be spent on medicines, utilities, educational, medical services, or donated to the Armed Forces.
