An agent of Russian military intelligence was detained in the Chernihiv region.
A local resident, who was recruited by the Russian GRU because of anti-Ukrainian comments in Russian Telegram channels, corrected enemy air attacks. It was at its guidance that in early November the Russians struck the regional center with two X-59 aircraft missiles. The press center of the Security Service of Ukraine reported this on December 2 on Telegram.
The occupiers also ordered her to install a hidden video camera near potential targets. With the help of a disguised “video paste,” the enemy wanted to track the locations of Ukrainian air defense, and after an air attack, record its consequences.
However, the special service thwarted the enemy’s plans – the traitor was detained near her home in Chernigov. Video recording devices and a mobile phone with evidence of reconnaissance and explosive activities in favor of the aggressor country were confiscated from the woman.
Law enforcement officers have already informed the detainee of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Let us remind you that the SBU detained in Nikolaev a former teacher at a local university who was correcting enemy missile and drone attacks on the regional center. The traitor tried to identify air defense combat positions in order to direct Russian missiles to bypass them. To do this, he installed a hidden video camera in the attic of the high-rise building in which he lived.
