The SBU detained a traitor who aimed two missiles at Chernigov in November

The woman tried to install a “video tape” to correct the strikes of the Russian army in Chernigov.

The security service detained another agent of the Russian military intelligence (GRU) operating in the Chernihiv region. The attacker corrected Russian air strikes, the SBU press service reported on Monday, December 2.

It was mentioned in the direction of the defendant that in early November the Russians struck the center of the region with two X-59 aircraft missiles.

The enemy agent turned out to be a local resident who was recruited by the GRU because of anti-Ukrainian comments on Russian Telegram channels.

For future adjustments to Russian strikes, the enemy’s intelligence service assigned him a task: install a hidden video camera near potential targets. Using a disguised “video paste,” the Russians wanted to track the locations of Ukrainian air defenses, and after an air attack, record its consequences.

However, SBU military counterintelligence prevented this and detained the traitor near his home in Chernigov. Video recording devices and a mobile phone were confiscated from him for red-handed reconnaissance and subversive activities in favor of the Russian Federation.

Security Service investigators informed the detainee of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law. The attacker is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of assets.

We remind you that the SBU detained an enemy agent in the Donetsk region. The attacker turned out to be a 67-year-old resident of Liman, who worked for the Russian GRU and was waiting to capture the city.
