The head of state noted the importance of implementing the Victory Plan, especially the transfer of long-range missiles and inviting Ukraine to NATO.
President Vladimir Zelensky said that Russian President Vladimir Putin could attack again in a few years if the war is frozen without strengthening Ukraine.
“Putin may attack again in 3-5 years if we freeze the conflict now without a strong Ukraine,” Zelensky stressed.
According to him, to prevent a second invasion, he said, it is necessary to strengthen Ukraine by implementing the points of the Victory Plan. This, in particular, is the transfer of a sufficient number of long-range missiles and an invitation to NATO.
In his speech, Zelensky proposed the option of Ukraine to join NATO, according to which we are not subject to Article 5 of the Alliance in time of war.
Zelensky recently said that Ukraine’s entry into NATO could help end the hot war phase started by Russia. And conquered territories can be returned through diplomatic means.
Let’s remember that Ukraine expected to receive an official invitation to NATO at the July summit in Washington, but this did not happen.
