A drunk Polish truck driver caused a massive accident in Germany – 26 people were injured at once.
The night before, eyewitnesses reported that a truck was driving in zigzags on the autobahn near the city of Neuss (North Rhine-Westphalia). The police tried to stop the truck, but they failed – as a result, the driver, who was later found to have alcohol in his blood, drove into the oncoming lane and rammed the oncoming cars, writes Bild.
As a result, the truck spun around and completely blocked the road. The police detained the driver on the spot – he turned out to be a 30-year-old Polish citizen. He was reported to be heavily intoxicated and is being tested for drug use.
A total of 50 vehicles were damaged in the accident. 26 people were injured: eight of them were seriously injured, one victim was in critical condition.
