In the Zaporozhye region, the construction of modern fortresses continues, together with the General Staff, developed a new defense system for the region. The head of the Zaporozhye Regional Police Department, Ivan Fedorov, spoke about this on television on Saturday, November 30.
He noted that some of the forts were built during the summer, within the time frame established by the military order.
“After that, the military and the General Staff developed a new defense system for the Zaporozhye region. The defense of the center of the region itself – and we have almost completed the construction of the defense city, but also of the neighboring community, to make the region well fortified,” said Fedorov.
According to him, the modern forts will be greatly improved compared to the earlier ones. First of all, we are talking about protection from enemy drones, because today the main threat is drones of various modifications.
The regional leader also recalled that this week OVA provided the military with more than 800 pieces of equipment and equipment, including FPV drones and unmanned systems, cars and winter tires, charging stations, batteries and other methods for winter conditions.
Let’s recall that the other day the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 200 million for the strengthening of Zaporozhye against the backdrop of intelligence warnings about possible Russian preparations for a large-scale attack on the city.
Earlier, the spokesman of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin, said that Russian troops will soon begin ground attacks in the south of the Zaporozhye region.
