Trump will appoint his matchmaker as ambassador to France

Charles Kushner is the father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. Trump previously pardoned him for tax evasion and illegal campaign donations.

US President-elect Donald Trump said on Saturday, November 30, that he wants Charles Kushner to be ambassador to France. Trump wrote this on the social network Truth Social.

He called Charles Kushner “an extraordinary business leader, philanthropist and negotiator.”

Trump added that he and Kushner would strengthen America’s partnership with France, America’s oldest and one of its biggest allies.

Charles Kushner is the father of Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. He founded the Kushner Companies, a real estate company.

Jared Kushner is a former senior Trump adviser who is married to Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka. The elder Kushner was pardoned by Trump in December 2020 after pleading guilty to tax evasion and illegal campaign contributions.
