Ukraine itself will make the right decisions to solve its problems, said a representative of the German Foreign Ministry.
Official Berlin denied that it had proposed to the Ukrainian government to lower the conscription age. German Foreign Ministry Speaker Christian Wagner said this, reports Ukrinform.
That is why the official commented on the rumors that such a proposal was made by Germany.
“I cannot confirm this. And frankly, we, as Germany, will not interfere in the question of how Ukraine conducts its defense against the Russians,” Wagner said.
He, in turn, said that he did not intend to comment on all the advisory proposals of lowering the conscription age, because “Ukraine itself will make the right decisions to solve its problems.”
As you know, the media wrote that, in the opinion of the United States, Ukraine needs to lower the age of mobilization to 18 years.
