On November 29, Ukraine returned the bodies of 502 fallen defenders.
In particular, it was possible to return the bodies of 397 defenders from the Donetsk direction, 24 from the Lugansk direction, 64 from the Zaporozhye direction and 17 dead from morgues on the territory of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation. The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that the fallen heroes were returned as a result of the joint work of employees of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Central Directorate of Civil-Military Cooperation of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Joint Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, and the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under special circumstances, the State Emergency Service, and other structures of the security and defense sector of Ukraine. The International Committee of the Red Cross also helped.
Let us remind you that on November 8, Ukraine managed to return the bodies of another 563 dead soldiers to the territory under its control. 320 bodies of defenders who died in the Donetsk direction and 89 fallen soldiers from the Bakhmut direction were repatriated. In addition, 154 bodies were returned from morgues in Russia.
