The American leader called the attack “spectacular” and noted that it “serves as another reminder of the urgency and importance of supporting the Ukrainian people in their defense against Russian aggression.”
Current US President Joe Biden condemned Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine, which took place on the night of November 28, and assured further support. This was stated in a statement on the White House website.
“This attack is outrageous and once again serves as a reminder of the urgency of supporting the Ukrainian people in their fight against Russian aggression,” Biden said.
He emphasized that the United States continues to support Ukraine.
“Today, my message to the Ukrainian people is clear: the United States stands by you. Earlier this year, at my direction, the United States began to prioritize the export of air defense, so ‘t they went to Ukraine first,” said Biden.
The American leader also mentioned his administration’s efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s energy security ahead of winter, as well as providing other critical resources, such as artillery, missiles and armored vehicles.
Biden also noted that “Russia continues to underestimate the courage, resilience and determination of the Ukrainian people.” And he added that “The United States, along with more than 50 countries, supports Ukraine and its struggle for independence.”
As reported, Russian troops carried out a massive combined missile and drone attack on the Ukrainian energy sector on Thursday night. 76 cruise missiles, three guided aircraft missiles and 35 UAVs were destroyed among 188 enemy targets. A total of 12 hits were recorded, mainly at fuel and energy sector facilities in different regions. There is damage in 14 regions.
