The author of one of the most popular podcasts in the world, the American Joe Rogan, in one of his broadcasts attacked Vladimir Zelensky with abuse.
Joe Rogan is the host of one of the most popular podcasts in the world, The Joe Rogan Experience, which airs on YouTube and Spotify. Each of his episodes usually receives millions of views, mainly due to Rogan’s image as someone who doesn’t choose expressions and says whatever comes to mind.
He started as a stand-up comedian, but then became very popular in the US as a boxing commentator. He has been called one of the best commentators for mixed martial arts (MMA) fights. During Rogan’s broadcast Elon Musk smoked marijuana – an episode that went viral. In the presidential election, Joe Rogan openly supported Donald Trump.
Zelensky and the Third World War
In an episode with producer Scott Storch, Rogan swore at Zelensky because, in his opinion, he, along with President Biden, was inciting World War III.
“Zelensky said that Putin is afraid. Go ***!” – said Rogan. Originally, Rogan said “f*** you,” meaning he used the most common English curse word. “Fuck off, people! You’re going to start World War III!” – he continued.
The podcast refers to the fact that the United States recently allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike targets deep in Russian territory using American ATACMS missiles.
“We voted for Trump. And he wants to end all this nonsense. I hope he succeeds,” Rogan added.
Ukrainians responded
Boxer Vladimir Klitschko filed an appeal against Rogan, accusing him of “repeating Putin’s propaganda.”
“Putin’s Russia has a problem, so they want to scare you and people like you. This war should have lasted three days, but it has lasted three years – thanks to the heroism and sacrifice of my people. Therefore, you are using the only weapon that Putin really plans to use: propaganda,” Wladimir Klitschko said in the video.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba also reacted.
“Attacking Ukrainians and not giving them a chance to speak is not a fair fight. If you want to have a real conversation, let’s sit down and talk about anything about Ukraine… You know your business, I know mine. I’m done with cigars,” Kuleba wrote to X to Rogan, who is also known for his love of cigars.
