Israel and Lebanon have agreed to an agreement to end the conflict. Within 60 days, Israel will gradually withdraw its troops from Lebanon.
The headquarters of the newly elected US President Donald Trump said that Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a ceasefire because of Donald Trump’s election victory. The Times of Israel reported this on Tuesday, November 26, citing Michael Volz, whom Trump wants to appoint as national security adviser after coming to the White House.
According to him, Trump’s victory helped unite the parties to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon.
“Everything will come to the negotiating table through President Trump. His resounding victory sent a clear signal to the whole world that the chaos will not be tolerated to see concrete steps towards de-escalation in the Middle East,” Volz wrote on the social network X.
He also wrote that the Iranian regime is the root of the chaos and fear unleashed throughout the region.
“We will not tolerate the status quo of their support for terrorism,” added Volz.
It can be remembered that US President Joe Biden confirmed that Israel and the terrorist group Hezbollah managed to agree on a temporary truce in Lebanon.
About 60 – 70% of the weapons discovered by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the Hezbollah group during the military operation in southern Lebanon were of Russian origin.
