During December, low-income families, as well as IDP families who have children or adults with group I disabilities, will receive 6,500 hryvnia for each child.
This is provided for by the government’s “Warm Winter” program, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said on November 26.
6.5 thousand UAH is funds to buy warm clothes, shoes and other things that children need in winter. Today we are adopting a corresponding resolution that gives a start to this program,” Shmigal said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In addition, on St. Nicholas Day, orphans and children deprived of parental care who are raised in families of guardians or trustees will receive one thousand hryvnia for each child. Funding for this is provided by UNICEF.
Let us recall that it previously became known that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to introduce a new assistance program from December 1. Each person will be given a thousand hryvnia within the limits of support.
This money can also be spent on Ukrzaliznytsia tickets, Ukrainian medicines, books, cultural services and donations for the troops.
