SHE FINALLY ARRIVED! After much waiting from fans, this Tuesday, 26th, Ireneleader of SM Entertainment’s girl group Red Velvet, made her long-awaited solo debut with the album “Like a Flower”, which was accompanied by a beautiful video for the title track of the same name.
In addition to “Like Flower”, the album, which is now available on the main streaming platforms worldwide, also features seven other songs. They are: “Summer Rain”, “Calling Me Back”, “Strawberry Silhouette”, “Start Line”, “Winter Wish”, “Ka-Ching” – Special Track and “I Feel Pretty” – Special Track.
With its debut, Irene becomes the fourth member of Red Velvet to start a solo project. The first to debut as a soloist was the main vocalist Wendywho released the album “Like Water” in April 2021. Remember the video for the title track!
In the same year, Joy became the second solo artist of the renowned girl group, releasing the album “Hello” in May. The album has six songs, all re-recordings of songs popular among South Korean people, which were successful in the country between the 90s and 2000s.
The last member to debut solo before Irene he was Seulgiwho in October 2022 released the album “28 Reasons”, accompanied by the title track of the same name. In total, the album also features five more songs: ‘Dead Man Runin’, ‘Bad Boy, Sad Girl’ (feat. BE’O), ‘Anywhere But Home’, ‘Los Angeles’ and ‘Crown’.
So far, the only one who has not yet ventured out as a soloist is the maknae Yeriwho has only invested in her career as an actress. So far, there is still no information about a possible future solo release by the artist.
Red Velvet’s most recent comeback as a full group took place on August 1st, in celebration of their 10th anniversary of debut, with the release of the mini-album “Cosmic”.
