The Poles had previously blocked the Medika-Shegini checkpoint, but now they saw no accumulation of trucks there.
Polish farmers on Saturday, November 23, blocked the Medika-Shegini checkpoint on the Ukrainian border. The State Border Guard Service reported this on its Telegram channel on Sunday, November 24.
“Currently, the border guards do not see congestion of trucks leaving Ukraine,” the message said.
At the entrance to Ukraine from the Polish side, there were about 10 cargo vehicles in front of the participants of the action.
“Cargo vehicles, which since yesterday were between the protesters and the Polish Medica checkpoint, continued to enter the territory of Ukraine,” the State Border Service said.
We remind you that the Polish peasants went on strike before the Medika-Shegini checkpoint. Truck traffic restrictions will apply.
As you know, from November 2023 until the summer of 2024, the Poles permanently blocked the checkpoints on the Ukrainian border. They, in particular, demanded a ban on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine.
