Since the start of the massive invasion, Russia has spent more than $18 billion on missile and drone attacks.
Russia is spending a lot of money shelling out Ukraine. These amounts exceed the annual budget of Russian regions, the Center for Combating Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reported on Saturday, November 23.
So, according to data from open sources, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has spent more than $ 18 billion on missile attacks and drone attacks on the territory of Ukraine, worth of more than 1.8 trillion rubles.
“This money can be used for the development of regions, building schools, hospitals and infrastructure,” notes the Center for Public Promotion.
For example, in 2024, the budget of St. Petersburg is 1.3 trillion rubles ($13 billion), which is equal to 1.38 of the annual budget of Vladimir Putin’s people.
Also, the amount spent on shelling in Ukraine is equivalent to more than the four-year budget of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, which amounts to 437.2 billion rubles ($4.3 billion).
Let’s recall that on November 17, Russia launched a massive missile and drone strike on Ukraine, launching 120 missiles and 90 drones. The enemy’s traditional target is the country’s energy infrastructure. Ukrainian air defense shot down most of the missiles and drones.
