Before the full-scale invasion, Russia created a list of people they planned to kill if they took over Ukraine.
The “hit lists” were to include teachers of the Ukrainian language, literature, history, ATO veterans, journalists, scientists, writers and priests. This was stated on November 23 by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, during a speech at the forum “Genocidal practices of the Russian Federation in Ukraine: from the Holodomor to the Russian-Ukrainian war.”
Also, according to Budanov, before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers were given instructions on the location of collective graves. The preparation of the occupiers involved the creation of execution lists and mobile crematoriums.
He added that in Putin’s article published in July 2021, he denied the right of the Ukrainian nation to exist. Russian propaganda, the highest bodies of state power, officials and the entire state machine, having received approval from their leader, have repeatedly called for the destruction of Ukrainians, therefore the genocide of Ukrainians is not only the state policy of Russia, but also an obligatory public belief, descended from above.
We have seen horrific mass crimes against Ukrainian citizens, the facts of which became known throughout the world. the provisions of the Russian genocidal policy of the authorities and military leadership,” Budanov noted.
