A passenger train derailed in the Transcarpathian region.
Due to rocks falling from the mountain, the electric train was blocked on the stretch. It is preliminary known that two wheel pairs derailed. A team of railway workers is working on the spot. The Ukrzaliznytsia company announced this on November 23 in Telegram.
The company emphasized that the speed of the train was below the permitted speed, so no one was injured as a result of the incident. All passengers will be transported to their destinations by road.
Ukrzaliznytsia also added that train No. 59 on the Kyiv-Chop route will be sent to bypass this section.
Let us remind you that on September 2, Russian invaders struck the infrastructure and rolling stock of Ukrzaliznytsia in the Sumy and Dnepropetrovsk regions. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
