Great Britain responded to the update of Russia’s nuclear doctrine.
In London they believe that what is coming out of today’s Russia is irresponsible rhetoric. Moscow’s actions will not stop British support for Ukraine.
“Putin is the author of his exile, and on the 1000th day of Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine, I say again: stop the war, get out of Ukraine,” he said.
The British Prime Minister spoke about Ukraine’s “1000 days of sacrifice.” He also repeated that Ukraine “must get what it needs and as much as it needs to win the war.”
Let us recall that on November 19, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On approval of the Fundamentals of State Policy of the Russian Federation in the field of nuclear deterrence.” The updated doctrine provides that the basis for a nuclear strike may be “aggression against Russia and its allies by any non-nuclear state with the support of a nuclear state,” as well as a massive air attack by non-nuclear means, including drones.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that the definition of conditions for the use of nuclear weapons by the Russian Federation in response to the launch of ballistic missiles on Russian territory indicates that Putin seeks as long as possible war, not peace.
