Denmark will send two more batches of F-16 fighters to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The Danish government has no changes in plans to transfer a certain number of these fighters to Ukraine. Copenhagen has already transferred six F-16 fighters to Kyiv. In total, Ukraine should receive 19 aircraft. Danish Prime Minister Matte Frederiksen announced this on November 19 at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
It was difficult, but we were able to succeed academically. Therefore the process continues. And then there will be another game and another next game. There will be a total of 19, as we said at the very beginning,” she emphasized.
It also became known today that the Danish government has decided to allocate 130 million euros for the development of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. In total, thanks to the Danish model, the Ukrainian defense industry has already attracted more than a billion dollars from partners, which Norway recently joined.
Let us recall that in September, President Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting regarding increasing the F-16 fleet. The head of state emphasized that there is already a clear understanding of the steps to increase the number of combat aircraft in Ukraine and speed up the training of our pilots.
