All taxes of citizens and businesses next year will be directed to the defense and security of the country.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted the state budget law for 2025 in its entirety. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram on Tuesday, November 19.
According to him, bill No. 12000 in the State Budget of Ukraine for 2025 was supported by 257 people’s representatives, 35 voted against, 12 abstained, 21 did not vote.
“Recording expenditures amounted to UAH 3.94 trillion of them, defense costs amounted to UAH 2.22 trillion, revenue was UAH 2.3 trillion (including UAH 141 billion from the tax bill 11416d, we also expect external next year’s funding of $38.4 billion.
In this regard, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal thanked the representatives of the people for their support and said that all taxes of citizens and businesses next year will be directed to the defense and security of the country.
“The total resources to be allocated to the security and defense sector will reach UAH 2.23 trillion, the funds will be allocated to the production and purchase of weapons for this modernization of our defense-industrial complex, as well as for the purchase of drones, ” he wrote on Telegram.
The second priority of the budget is to support citizens.
“In March, we planned to index pensions. In total, almost 421 billion UAH are provided for social assistance programs,” said Shmyhal.
According to him, spending on education will reach approximately 199 billion UAH, and on medicine 217 billion UAH.
Shmygal also assured that the government will continue to support regions and communities – by 2025, local budget resources will increase by 15%.
We remind you that on October 31, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill on the budget of Ukraine for 2025 in the first reading.
And on November 9, it became known that the government sent to the parliament a draft law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2025, which was prepared for the second reading.
