On November 19, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2025 as a whole.
People’s deputies Yaroslav Zheleznyak and Alexey Goncharenko reported this on their social networks.
The decision was supported by 257 parliamentarians.
External financing is expected in the amount of $38.4 billion.
The main priority is the defense capability and security of Ukraine. Defense spending amounts to 2.22 trillion. UAH In 2023, these expenses amounted to 1.84 trillion. UAH
Among other things, 1.5 billion was allocated for the United News telethon.
All taxes of citizens and businesses next year will be directed to the defense and security of our country. The total resource allocated to the security and defense sector will amount to UAH 2.23 trillion. Record funds will be spent on the production and purchase of weapons. UAH 739 billion is provided for this. There will be more funding for the modernization of our military-industrial complex, as well as for the purchase of drones, as Prime Minister Denis Shmigal commented on the budget indicators.
In March, the government planned indexation of pensions. In total, almost 421 billion UAH are provided for assistance programs in the social sphere.
Expenditures on education will amount to about 199 billion UAH, and on medicine 217 billion UAH.
UAH 10.7 billion is allocated for the renovation of medical institutions, the acquisition of modern equipment and the creation of rehabilitation centers. An additional 17.5 billion UAH are provided for the modernization of educational institutions and the arrangement of shelters.
Shmigal promised that in 2025 the resource of local budgets will increase by 15%.
