The discussion included geopolitical challenges, support for Ukraine and strengthening European defense capabilities.
A meeting of the G5 foreign ministers of the EU and the UK is taking place in Warsaw. The main focus is aid to Ukraine, transatlantic cooperation and strengthening of Europe’s defense capabilities. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced this on RMF.FM on Tuesday, November 19.
During the meeting of the ministers, accompanied by the future EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, the geopolitical situation in Europe, aid to Ukraine, defense issues and transatlantic cooperation were discussed.
Sikorsky noted that leaders will raise “critical issues.”
“That is, first of all, the largest EU countries are ready to find funds to buy more ammunition, invest in the Ukrainian defense sector, send Ukraine more military equipment to strengthen its negotiating position this next year, when the Russian economy begins to disintegrate, ” – emphasized the Polish minister.
Let’s remember that Sikorsky recently announced the “most important” negotiations in Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Earlier it became known that the Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, in a telephone conversation on November 18 with the elected 47th US President Donald Trump, discussed, in particular, the support for Ukraine.
