The explosion tore off the Russian captain’s legs and he died from loss of blood. Russian media write that Trankovsky was monitored for about a week, and the improvised explosive device was detonated remotely. The 41st brigade has been firing missiles at Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion.
Trankovsky is a war criminal who gave orders to launch cruise missiles from the Black Sea against civilian targets in Ukraine. In particular, he fired at Vinnitsa with Caliber guns in July 2022, killing 29 civilians. He also repeatedly shelled Odessa and other peaceful cities, which killed many civilians.
