The politician intends to conduct a campaign for mass deportation of illegal migrants using the American military for this.
US President-elect Donald Trump has backed calls for a “national emergency plan” as part of his mass deportation policy. He wrote about it on his social network TruthSocial, Newsweek reports.
“The new Donald Trump administration is reportedly ready to declare a national emergency and will use military resources to stop Biden’s onslaught through a mass deportation program,” wrote conservative activist and commentator Tom Fitton.
Trump responded to her post with the comment “Truth.”
A spokesperson for Trump’s team also told Newsweek that the future president will “mobilize all forces at the federal and state levels for the largest deportation operation in US history of illegal criminals, drug dealers and human trafficker” while “lowering costs for families.”
Trump has previously said he would use the National Guard as well as government agencies to carry out the deportations. During the election campaign, he promised to “launch the largest criminal deportation program in American history.” He also said he was using a 1798 law that allowed the deportation of foreign nationals considered enemies of the United States.
Let’s remember that Trump, even during his first term in office, said that the United States does not need migrants from “trash countries.”
And on the campaign trail this year, he twice claimed that Haitian migrants in Springfield were stealing and eating their neighbors’ livestock.
