The ultimatum presented by Vladimir Putin in June to end the war “absolutely retains its relevance,” Dmitry Peskov said.
Putin’s Russia does not want to freeze the war in Ukraine along the battle lines, as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan suggests. Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov said this at a briefing on Monday, November 18.
“The option of freezing along the battle line is a priori unacceptable for the Russian side,” he said.
Peskov recalled the ultimatum presented by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in June of this year to end the war. According to him, these conditions “absolutely remain relevant.”
And when asked if the leaders of Russia and Turkey, in their last contact, discussed Erdogan’s plan to freeze military operations in Ukraine, he replied: “No, it was not discussed, and given We’ve been paying attention to these publications, but we don’t have any data regarding this “We don’t know what we’re talking about.”
Earlier, the media reported that Erdogan plans to present his “peace plan” for Russia’s war against Ukraine at the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This gives a battle freeze on the parties current position.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin announced today a “new escalation” in the war, due to US President Joe Biden’s alleged decision to allow Ukraine to fire American ballistic missiles at Russia.
