In Ukraine, the level of electricity consumption has decreased.
The press service of Ukrenergo reported this today, November 18.
It is noted that as of 5:00 today, the consumption level was 7% lower than at the same time of the previous working day – on Friday, November 15. This is explained:
- blackout of a significant number of consumers in the Odessa region as a result of a large-scale attack on the energy system carried out by Russian terrorists the previous day, on November 17;
- an increase in air temperature compared to last week.
Yesterday, November 17, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 4.3% lower than the previous Sunday, November 10, notes Ukrenergo.
In the Odessa region, emergency restoration work continues after a massive enemy missile and drone attack on energy facilities on November 17.
Today in Ukraine, measures were introduced to limit consumption for industrial and household consumers, which included the use of two stages of shutdowns from 6.00 to 22.00. Subsequently, a number of regional power companies announced the cancellation, at the command of Ukrenergo, of hourly shutdown schedules for today until further notice.
At the same time, Ukrainians are urged to consume electricity sparingly throughout the day and not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 6.00 to 22.00.
Today, electricity will be imported with a total volume of 3 thousand 427 MWh from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova.
