The French media wrote about Ukraine’s willingness to fire SCALP and StormShadow missiles at Russia. The British media is not sure.
France and Britain, following the United States, have also allowed Ukraine to launch strikes deep into Russia. The French publication Le Figaro reported this on Sunday, November 17. The British media questioned this information.
“The French and British allowed Ukraine to attack deep into Russian territory with their SCALP/StormShadow missiles,” Le Figaro said.
At the same time, The Times wrote that the US permission to fire ATACMS missiles at Russia does not mean that such a decision applies to British Storm Shadows containing American components.
“Downing Street sources have said that the ATACMS missiles authorized to be used by President Biden have different military characteristics compared to the Storm Shadow missiles. This may mean that the US has not yet agreed to use the Storm Shadow, despite private requests from the government,” the article said.

In this way, authorization to attack with SCALP and StormShadow missiles will be removed from criticality.
We remind you that earlier The New York Times, citing sources, reported that the current US President Joe Biden for the first time authorized the Ukrainian military to use long-range ATACMS missiles to strike the territory of Russia. This permission was in response to Russia’s unexpected decision to engage North Korean troops in the conflict.
President Vladimir Zelensky commented on this information, noting that “the missiles will speak for themselves.”
