The politicians will discuss “a number of global flashpoints”, including heightened tensions between Washington and Beijing.
US President Joe Biden plans to discuss North Korea’s participation in the Russian-Ukrainian war with Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Peru. This was reported on Saturday, November 16, by Sky News.
“Biden will use his latest meeting with Xi Jinping to urge him to stop North Korea from further deepening its support for Russia’s war in Ukraine,” the reporters said.
The publication’s unnamed sources say that at the final meeting, Biden will ask Xi Jinping to strengthen US ties with China to prevent further escalation of the already dangerous situation in relations with North Korea.
In addition, Biden intends to raise issues such as: the “unacceptability” of cyber attacks on critical US infrastructure, peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, artificial intelligence and global drug trafficking.
This will be the third personal meeting between the two heads of state since Biden took office as president.
We remind you that the United States has received information that North Korea has transferred another batch of weapons to Russia for the war against Ukraine.
Earlier, the media wrote that North Korea sent more than 1 million artillery shells to Russia.
Recently it became known that the DPRK is preparing to send a second batch of its military to Russia.
