The fleet of armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Defense Forces will be replenished with the Zubr vehicle.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved the Zubr all-wheel drive all-terrain armored vehicle for use by the troops. This armored car is multifunctional and is characterized by mobility, maneuverability and compact dimensions. The press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported this on November 15.
This armored car has reinforced independent suspension and serious driving characteristics. This allows the Zubr to move at relatively high speeds over difficult terrain.
The Ministry noted that the armor and design of the Zubr provides protection for military personnel from small arms fire and minimizes injury to the driver and passengers when the vehicle is blown up by a mini or enemy landmine.
The design of the vehicle allows the installation of additional weapons systems. “Zubr” is designed for transporting personnel and evacuating the wounded.
Let us recall that in August the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and approved the light armored car “Jura” for use by the troops. This vehicle, created on the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 chassis, received a specially designed armored capsule that provides a level of ballistic protection for personnel from small arms fire.
