The Ukrainian delegation presented to the European Commission and colleagues from Eurostat in Luxembourg the state of implementation of EU legal actions.
Ukraine has completed an assessment of the law in the first block of the negotiation process for accession to the European Union. This was reported by the press service of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
“On November 12, a bilateral meeting between Ukraine and the European Commission on Chapter 18, dedicated to statistics, was concluded in Luxembourg. The meeting took place as part of the official screening of Ukrainian legislation for compliance with the law of the EU,” the message said.
Over the course of two days, the Ukrainian delegation presented to the European Commission and colleagues from Eurostat the state of implementation of the EU law on state statistical activities, the capabilities of the state statistical bodies of Ukraine, methods and data quality.
The European Commission’s report on the screening results within Cluster 1 will allow it to open as soon as 2025.
“Next week, bilateral meetings will begin in Brussels on the second Cluster Internal Market negotiations, focusing, in particular, on the issues of free movement of goods, freedom of movement of workers, entrepreneurship and the provision of services , competition policy, corporate law and others,” the statement said.
As you know, on June 14, the ambassadors of the EU member states adopted a framework for negotiations on the accession of Ukraine, as well as Moldova.
