The liquidation of the captain of the 1st rank in Sevastopol was carried out by the Ukrainian special service.
The Security Service of Ukraine liquidated the head of the headquarters of the 41st brigade of missile ships and boats of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Valery Trankovsky, in occupied Sevastopol. As a result of the car explosion, his legs were torn off, the man died from loss of blood. This was reported by “Public” and “Babel” with reference to sources in the SBU.
It was Trankovsky who gave the orders to launch cruise missiles in the Black Sea against civilian targets in Ukraine. This war criminal was involved in the shelling of Vinnytsia with Russian Kalibr cruise missiles in July 2022. Then 29 civilians died. He is also involved in the shelling of Odessa and other cities of Ukraine, which killed many civilians.
That is why the Ukrainian special services believed that this occupier was an absolutely legitimate target from the point of view of the laws and customs of warfare. Trankovsky was monitored for about a week, and the improvised explosive device was detonated remotely.
It is symbolic that the Russian war criminal, on whose hands the blood of dozens of civilian Ukrainians, ended his inglorious life on Taras Shevchenko Street in Sevastopol. Retribution for the crime is only a matter of time. Not a single occupier or murderer can feel safe, no matter where he is, the SBU said.
