A Russian serviceman who raped a minor local resident in the Kherson region has been identified. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General on Wednesday, November 13.
A serviceman of the 109th Infantry Regiment of the Mobilization Reserve of the 1st Army Corps of the 8th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces was informed of the suspicion of committing a violation of the laws and customs of war.
According to the investigation, in March 2022, the suspect, together with other military personnel of the Russian army, occupied one of the settlements of the Kherson region. The Russian entered the territory of one of the private houses where local residents and children were hiding.
The occupant entered one of the rooms where the minor girl and her sisters were. He asked her how old they were.
The suspect ordered the girl to follow him to another room of the house and completely undress. After receiving a refusal from the victim, he threatened to kill her and rape other Russian servicemen. Using physical force, the Russian military committed an act of sexual violence against him.
