On November 12, the Court of Appeal in Kyiv left Nikolai Tishchenko under round-the-clock house arrest – the appeal was rejected.
He continues to wear an electronic monitoring device.
Back on June 25, Tishchenko was charged with the illegal imprisonment of a former soldier of the Kraken special forces unit in Dnieper.
In June, the court in this case sent the people’s deputy under house arrest for 60 days without the right to post bail. In September, this decision was already extended for another 60 days.
Tishchenko spent almost a year undergoing inspections from the non-existent Temporary Investigative Commission. The “CHESTNO” movement reported that in October 2022, Tishchenko initiated the creation of the VSK “Natsresurs”, which was officially supposed to investigate possible facts of ineffective activities of the State Agencies of Forestry and Water Resources and the State Environmental Inspectorate. At the beginning of May 2023, parliament did not approve the interim report of the VSK, so it was closed.
Despite this, Tishchenko continued to travel with inspections to various institutions, under the guise of VSK. Among them were “bot farms”, “call centers” and infrastructure facilities. Tishchenko himself reported on his inspections on social networks.
