For the security of the Euro-Atlantic region, it is necessary to unite the efforts of Europe, North America and international partners, the NATO Secretary General is convinced.
NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte called on the world community for stronger support for Ukraine to “raise the cost” for Putin and his allies. In a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, he stressed that aid to Ukraine should help change the trajectory of the war, reports said. Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday, November 12th.
Rutte emphasized the importance of long-term support, noting that for the security of the Euro-Atlantic region it is necessary to unite the efforts of Europe, North America and international partners.
“We need to come together to ensure the security and prosperity of our people,” he added.
In addition to supporting Ukraine, Rutte mentioned strengthening NATO’s defense capabilities. In particular, the head of the Alliance called for closer transatlantic defense cooperation and increased investment in security, noting that defense spending reduces the risk of future conflicts.
Let’s remember that the other day Rutte emphasized that NATO members must do more to change the course of the war in Ukraine.
Let’s remember that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that the reaction of the world community to the arrival of the DPRK contingent on Russian territory for further participation in the war against Ukraine was not as strong as it should have been.
