In Thailand, in Phuket, a Ukrainian citizen was robbed of about 250 thousand dollars in cryptocurrency. This was reported by the Bangkok Post.
The police detained four suspects – among them two Ukrainians, as well as citizens of Armenia and Russia aged 19 to 22 years.
The attack took place on the night of November 8. The victim, 23-year-old Ukrainian Vyacheslav Leibov, said that a Ukrainian acquaintance invited him to a hotel room, where three other men, two of whom of them hide behind masks.
The attackers handcuffed Leibov and forced him to transfer $250,000 worth of cryptocurrency to them. After the transfer, the attackers tied him to his bed and disappeared.
Later, the victim contacted the police, who learned that one of the suspects regularly bought cryptocurrency from him and knew about large reserves of tokens.
We remind you that a bank was robbed in Lviv. The law enforcement officers quickly discovered and arrested the alleged thieves.
