The government postponed the implementation of Resolution No. 822, which provides for an increase in the minimum salary of teachers to four subsistence levels until martial law is lifted.
Instead, teachers will receive a monthly salary supplement. The corresponding resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers was adopted on November 8.
By the same decree, the government established a monthly additional payment for teaching staff in institutions of general secondary education of state and municipal ownership for special working conditions.
From January 1, 2025, the monthly additional payment will be equal to 1,300 UAH (1,000 UAH “in hand”).
From September 1, 2025 until the end of the calendar year in which martial law is terminated or cancelled, the amount of the additional payment will be equal to 2,600 UAH (2,000 UAH “in hand”).
The amount of additional payment to a teaching employee will be determined in proportion to the volume of the teaching load and/or the amount of teaching work performed by the employee.
