The Polish leader has agreed to meet with the next US president before he takes office.
Polish President Andrzej Duda on Monday, November 11, spoke with US President-elect Donald Trump and agreed on a personal meeting. Duda announced this on the X social network.
Duda delivered congratulations from Trump on Independence Day to the Poles. According to him, the US President-elect thanked “for the voices of Polish society and promised to always remember Poland.”
“We agreed to meet before his official inauguration, which will take place in January. We also talked about the Polish presidency and one of the priorities, strengthening our relations,” said Duda.
The previous day, it was reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Trump discussed the continuation of peace in Europe.
