By the end of the year, European partners should have time to fully implement the initiative to supply Ukraine with one million shells.
On November 11, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky met with EU High Representative Josep Borrell in Kyiv. They discussed the supply of one million artillery shells to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and some other issues. The head of state spoke about this in his evening speech.
“Today there was a meeting with the head of European diplomacy, Borrell Our relations with the EU, our engagement Very important news: by the end of the year, European partners should have time to fully implement the initiative to supply Ukraine with million shells for our artillery,” Zelensky said.
He also said that he discussed with Borrell further cooperation between Ukraine and the EU; increased military aid; lifting restrictions on strikes against military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation; unblocking support under the European Peace Fund and completing all procedures for providing Ukraine with $50 billion in accordance with the G7 decision.
Earlier, Borrell met with the head of the Ukrainian government, Denis Shmygal. The interlocutors discussed the European integration of Ukraine and further cooperation within the framework of the European Peace Fund and the Ukraine Assistance Fund.
We remind you that Josep Borrell arrived in Ukraine on November 9. This is his fifth visit to Kyiv since the start of the full Russian invasion and his last as EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
