The water is approaching the populated areas of the Velikonovoselkovskaya settlement, but it is impossible to assess the criticality of the situation due to the shelling.
Due to the damage to the Ternovskaya dam in the Donetsk region, an increase in water in the Volcha River was recorded. This is what the head of the Kurakhovsk City Military Administration (GVA) Roman Padun said in a commentary for Suspilne Donbass on Monday, November 11th.
“We know that water is flowing to the villages located near the Ternovskaya dam. We cannot confirm the nature of the damage or the criticality. We cannot carry out an examination of the dam due to the ongoing shelling at the moment,” he said. .
According to him, there is evidence that the water is approaching the populated areas of the community of Velikonovoselkovskaya.
“We have in other settlements of the community of Velikonovoselkovskaya that the water is flowing there as if the flood gates we opened that the dam is probably broken,” added the official.
In turn, junior sergeant, commander of the 24th Special Operations Brigade Aidar Stanislav Bunyatov (Osman) wrote in Telegram that the Russian occupation army blew up the Kurakhovsky reservoir dam. Therefore, settlements in the direction of the village of Bogatyr were flooded.
“The roads remain usable, but with some nuances, the movement of armored vehicles on dirt roads around populated areas is, of course, limited,” he wrote.
As you know, the Kurakhovsky direction is one of the hottest on the front. In the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled 48 Russian attacks there near nine settlements.
