Europe as a whole and, in particular, Poland will “bear greater responsibility for their own security in the coming months,” the Polish Prime Minister believes.
In the near future, the United States of America may publish a declaration on the date of the ceasefire in Ukraine and security guarantees for Kyiv. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced this on Saturday, November 9, writes Polish Radio.
The official emphasized that the peace plan previously mentioned by Trump is probably still in the preparation stage.
In his opinion, a declaration can be expected in the near future, in particular, on the date of the ceasefire on the territory of Ukraine, a statement on the border and security guarantees for Ukraine.
“These will certainly be decisions that will provide for less US interference in Ukrainian affairs,” Tusk explained.
At the same time, he expressed confidence that Ukraine itself and its allies will be involved in the final decisions.
“The decision on the war in Ukraine cannot be made in the heads of not only Ukrainians, but also ours,” Tusk said.
Donald Trump, who won the US election, may try to negotiate with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to end Russia’s war in Ukraine. But such an agreement is unlikely to be in the interest of Europe and Ukraine. Czech President Petr Pavel announced this on Friday.
Dialogue has been established between Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and US President-elect Donald Trump. The teams will start organizing their meeting.
Let’s remember that during the election campaign, Trump repeatedly promised to quickly end the war in Ukraine.
