Current US President Joe Biden invited his successor Donald Trump to a meeting on November 13.
This was announced by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
At the invitation of President Biden, President Biden and President-elect Trump will meet in the Oval Office on Wednesday at 11:00 am. More details will be revealed over time, the statement said.
Earlier, Biden called the newly elected president to congratulate him on his election victory. He invited the former and future president to the White House to discuss the details of the transfer of power.
Failures are inevitable, but you shouldn’t seem to. America will survive, everything will be fine. We must remain united. We must keep moving forward,” Biden said in his first speech since the Nov. 5 election.
The current US President stressed that he recognizes the election results and will peacefully transfer power to Donald Trump.
